Get Back With Your Ex

Be flexible

Learn to be flexible in what you do. If you are constantly expecting things to be done on a rigid schedule, you will find yourself doomed for disappointment.

“The best laid plans of mice and men…” I believe is how that one starts out, and the rest as they say, is history.

Lay your plans, whether it’s to get your ex back or whether it’s to make your relationship work, or whether it’s for something else entirely, and then sit back and watch as they come apart at the seams.

The only way that your plans will truly work is when you are bale to adapt and be flexible. In this way you can change and adjust your plans for the situation as things happen around you.

For instance if you find out that your ex has found someone new when you call them up to ask them out for a friendly dinner, don’t just hang up the phone and storm off to do some serious damage to something, instead take it all in stride and go with the flow.

Ask your ex’s new partner to come along with them, show your ex that it was really was a friendly dinner that you wanted, and that you have no hard feelings either.

And when you get to the dinner, (better go alone this time as otherwise it will seem as if you are trying to compete with your ex), make sure that you are polite and interested in what both your ex and their new partner has to say.

Look interested, act interested and show no enmity – even if you are seething inside at this new turn of events.

Being flexible got you what staying rigidly focused on your plans couldn’t have accomplished – time with your ex, even if someone else was tagging along at the time!
