Breaking up is hard to do
It’s happened to all of us at some point in time. We’re in a good place, we have a good relationship and everything seems to be going fine, when suddenly out of nowhere, Wham! you’re hit with the breakup of your relationship.
What went wrong? Was it you, was it something you did, or was it another man/ woman? Whatever the reason you’re left reeling from your breakup, sitting around in your underwear in a darkened room, listening to heartbreaking songs from the 80’s.
This is the time when you should be getting yourself back together, even if it is piece by piece, because if you want your ex back, then the last thing that will accomplish this feat is seeing you in your present state of shock and grief and despair.
Besides this there are also a few things that you don’t want to do when trying to attract your ex back to you, but I have to say that this one tops the list.
Nothing will reassure them more that they did the right thing in breaking up with you, when they see you in what is an admittedly pathetic state.
Yes, we know it hurts, most of us have been through this same state that you’re in now. But you have to understand that having your heart broken and shattered into a million little pieces is not license for you to become a clingy slob who can only think of days gone by.
Take the time to nurse your hurt and do it in anyway that you think suitable, but after a time you need to let go of your wallowing ways and step back into the real world.
This means that you need to put the bathrobe you’ve been living in for the past few weeks to wash, (while you’re at it you might want to look at putting in some disinfectant as well!), and don’t forget to take a good long hard look at yourself at the same time.
If you and water haven’t been the best of friends for some time now, then please do everyone a favor and become acquainted again.
Open the doors and windows of your home and allow some fresh air to come back in, don’t worry, although it might become scared as soon as it comes in, the fresh air will soon take care of any stale and musty odors!
And most of all, when you have finally gotten a little bit of spit and shine on you, remember to take that all-crucial step outside of your door and take in a breath of fresh air.
You might have been out and about a few times after your breakup, but that doesn’t mean that you were over your wallowing period.
Now that you are over this period, think of that first step you take outside your front door, as the first step of the rest of your life, because that’s right, you do have a life stretching out in front of you and you need to make full use of it if you want to lead a full and happy life.
So although breaking up is hard to do, don’t take it as a sign that life as you know it is over. It’s not.
Life goes on, and until you can rejoin the living any plan or attempt that you make to get your ex back together with you will most likely fail miserably.
